Two injured in Framingham shootings



A man and a woman were arrested after a double shooting early Saturday in Framingham that injured two men, according to an announcement by Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Framingham Police Chief Steven Carl.


Framingham police responded to a Hollis Street residence around 12:45 a.m. Christian Casto-Lainez, 18, of Worcester, was arrested with his girlfriend, Margaret Desrosiers, 17, of Framingham, the statement said.


Casto-Lainez was charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm and misleading investigators. Desrosiers was charged with being an accessory to armed assault with intent to murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, and misleading investigators. Both are scheduled for arraignment on Monday in Framingham District Court.


A 20-year-old male, of Framingham, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and is on life support at Tufts Medical Center, officials said. The second victim, a 21-year old male from Framingham, was shot in a chest and is in stable condition at University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
