While Patriots coach Bill Belichick had little to say about bringing quarterback Tim Tebow to New England, Jets coach Rex Ryan was more than happy to share his thoughts.

Ryan, who coached Tebow last season before the Jets released him in April, acknowledged at the beginning of his news conference at the start of the team's minicamp that he expected more questions about former players than current ones.

But he said he wasn't concerned by the Patriots' move.

"If they want to replace [Tom] Brady with him, that's fine," Ryan quipped.

"It's not a surprise to me that Tim would be picked up," Ryan said. "Obviously, as I said before, you know, tremendous young man. Very competitive. So, I'm happy for him, and look forward to competing against him."
