Traffic:
- Utility work will continue Wednesday on Rt-2 Eastbound at Mt. Tabor Rd.
- Road construction on Rt-3 will continue throughout the week from Memorial Dr. to Vassar St.
- Rt. 225 will experience utility work both directions at Shawsheen Rd./Pine St. starting at 7 a.m.

What’s in the news?
- Plainville voters yesterday overwhelmingly backed a host community agreement for a slots parlor at the town's harness race track. Penn National stepped in last week, offering to buy the track if the site gets the slots parlor license from the state after regulators disqualified the track's current owner.
- Voters in West Springfield have voted down a host city agreement for a proposed casino from Hard Rock International. Springfield voters have already OK'd a competing proposal there while a vote is set for November for a proposal in Palmer.
- Jury selection is set for today in the murder trial of Jean Torres Vargas. Vargas had mistakenly been released on bail after being indicted in the beating death of Michael Costa because the warrant had the wrong name. He allegedly beat and stomped Costa at a bus stop in 2010.

- The Prince Pasta food truck rolls into the Prudential Center between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., serving free pasta in honor of their month-long, 100th anniversary celebration.
- Volcano Choir, with vocalist Justin Vernon, perform tonight at 8 p.m. at the Paradise Rock Club.
- Build core strength and tone up at a free Yoga/Pilates Fushion class tonight at Fiedler Field on the Esplanade. Sponsored by the Esplanade Association. 6-7 p.m.
