Maybe we should rename Back Bay the Bacon District: A new map tool from Yelp shows where various keywords are concentrated among reviewers, helping users uncover the city’s unheralded hipster, chowder, and patio hotspots.
“With over 39 million reviews contributed to the site, Yelp plays host to a wealth of information on local businesses around the world,” wrote Yelp data scientist Chris C. “Enter the Yelp Wordmap: a heatmap showing density of keywords used in Yelp reviews to reveal fascinating patterns of local discovery.”
