The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a baby boy Monday to much fanfare. The baby is third in line to the throne. But he wasn't the only baby born that day. We're about to tell you about babies born locally and nationally, including babies born to celebrities. All of them share a birthday with the royal baby.
So what happens when you share a birthday with the royal heir?
Well, if you're in the U.K., your parents can receive the gift of a coin from the Royal Mint. The silver penny will be dated 2013 and come in a blue pouch for a boy or a pink one for a girl. Parents have to scan a copy of the baby's birth certificate and send to the Royal Mint's Facebook page within 60 days. There will be 2,013 coins available. Read more from this CNN report.
American babies are not eligible for those coins. But they will always have bragging rights.

"We really didn't think about it," said Triquet. "Delivering a 10 pound baby at a home birth was quite enough."
Kara Hennelly and Josh Baker of Newton had twin boys, Finn and Declan, on Monday. Hennelly told NECN that she and Baker "'joked' about their boys being born on the same day as the royal baby, but didn't think it would ever happen."
Many parents-to-be across the U.S. were watching coverage of the royal baby's pending birth on TV while in labor.
The Mitchell family in Wilwaukee welcomed new daughter Jada.
"We were joking that the whole world is worried about the royal baby but Milwaukee, Chicago, and Atlanta were worried about this baby," the father, J Mitchell, told WTMJ.
"This is our princess," said mom Latae Mitchell.
When Leigh Lindstrom, of Omaha, announced her pregnancy to friends, she joked that she and Kate Middleton would be battling it out for coverage in People Magazine, she told Channel 6 News. People may not be knocking on her hospital room door, but the Lindstroms are ecstatic with their new son Barron.

Hillary Scott of the group Lady Antebellum and actress Penelope Cruz both gave birth yesterday. Scott named her daughter Eisele Kaye. Cruz also welcomed a daughter but her name hasn't been released yet. Read more in Pop Radar.
