An Amber Alert was issued around 2:30 p.m. today for a 13-year-old girl abducted near Ferry Landing Circle in Portsmouth, R.I.
Kathryn Botelho was last seen around 9 a.m. this morning near the circle. Rhode Island State Police said she might be in imminent danger.
Botelho is described as 4-foot 11-inches tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. She weighs roughly 110 pounds.
The suspected abductor is described as a white man in his 40s or 50s. He was seen driving a red Chrysler Sebring or Chrysler Concord, possibly with New Jersey plates.
“The red vehicle was seen in the area at the time she went missing,†said Rhode Island State Police Major Todd Catlow.
No other information was immediately available.
