A man and a women were found suffering from gunshot wounds around the same time early Sunday morning in Dorchester about a half-mile apart, according to Boston police.
The two are recovering in âœcritical but stable condition,â said Police Officer Katherine Shea, a Boston Police Department spokeswoman
Although the two locations are so close, Shea said officers are investigating the shootings as separate incidents.
âœWe always investigate things that seem similar but donâ™t make connections until they definitely have an answer,â she said. âœWe treat every incident separately so they are fully investigated.â
At 2:42 a.m. officers responded to 18 Speedwell St., where they found a man who had been shot, said Shea. The manâ™s injuries were not life-threatening, Shea said, and he was transported to a local hospital.
Just two minutes later, at 2:44 a.m., a woman was found with a gunshot wound at 95 High St., Shea said.
No further information was immediately available.
