A man and a women were found suffering from gunshot wounds around the same time early Sunday morning in Dorchester about a half-mile apart, according to Boston police.
The two are recovering in “critical but stable condition,†said Police Officer Katherine Shea, a Boston Police Department spokeswoman
Although the two locations are so close, Shea said officers are investigating the shootings as separate incidents.
“We always investigate things that seem similar but don’t make connections until they definitely have an answer,†she said. “We treat every incident separately so they are fully investigated.â€
At 2:42 a.m. officers responded to 18 Speedwell St., where they found a man who had been shot, said Shea. The man’s injuries were not life-threatening, Shea said, and he was transported to a local hospital.
Just two minutes later, at 2:44 a.m., a woman was found with a gunshot wound at 95 High St., Shea said.
