Like the Chicago Blackhawks, thousands of Boston area residents who donâ™t subscribe to a cable television service were also shut out of Monday nightâ™s Stanley Cup Finals game.
WHDH Channel 7 broadcast games two and three though a feed from NBC Sports Network, a channel available only through a cable or satellite subscription. Viewers without those services saw NBCâ™s regular programming Monday. But for the rest of the series, the games will be shown on NBC, which can be picked up without cable service.
âœIf youâ™re in Boston, and you turn your TV to Channel 7, you will be able to see it,â said Jake Wright , who works on WHDHâ™s assignment desk.
Game 4 is scheduled for Wednesday night in Boston, with the Bruins leading the series 2-1.
