Falmouth police investigating apparent double homicide

Authorities are investigating the deaths of two people in Falmouth.

Falmouth Police Chief Edward Dunne said at the scene on Central Avenue that his department is investigating the incident as a double homicide, the Cape Cod Times reported today.

A Falmouth police dispatcher referred questions to Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe’s office.

The incident apparently took place in a single family house at 146 Central Ave., the Cape Cod Times reported.

In separate telephone interviews today, two neighbors said they didn’t see or hear any sort of disturbance on their street this morning prior to the arrival of police.

Police have also blocked off Central Avenue, and there’s a “pretty big” police response, one neighbor said.

They declined further comment.
