Brazen jewelry thieves steal more than $1 million

In the last few weeks, a number of jewelry thefts occurred across the country. Though the value of stolen goods amounted to more than $1 million, these thieves were not exactly cat burglars. Rather, they walked right in, grabbed the goods, and walked right out.

A group of thieves walked into a store in Atlanta, pulled out hammers to smash a glass display case, and fled with close to $1 million of jewelry.

In Hingham, Mass., a man stole a $4,000 ring out of the hand of a Kohl's employee.

And in New York, a well-dressed man entered a Tiffany's store, where he snatched two necklaces worth almost $100,000 directly off the counter, then turned and walked right out the door.
