Three shot outside South Boston sports bar, one critically wounded

Three men were shot outside the Stadium Sports Bar & Grill in South Boston early this morning, and one is in critical condition, police said.

Police answered a call at 12:19 a.m. about gunshots outside the bar at 232 Old Colony Ave., said Officer Nicole Grant, a Boston Police Department spokeswoman.

They found two men with gunshot wounds, Grant said. One was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was listed in critical but stable condition this morning. The other was treated at Tufts Medical Center and is expected to survive, Grant said.

Officers later spoke with a third man on Parker Street in Jamaica Plain, who said he was shot once near the bar. The man was taken to Brigham and Women̢۪s Hospital and is expected to live, Grant said.

Grant said she did not know whether the three had been inside the bar before the shooting.

Police have not made any arrests and are investigating the shooting, Grant said.
