The Orange Line of Boston's MBTA turned 111 years old on June 10. It started out as the Boston Elevated Railway with steel structures stretching over roads and sidewalks, trains rumbling across the city's exoskeleton. Since then, the original stations have moved, the tracks brought down or discarded. The Orange Line is a rare case of a rapid transit line that's been completely relocated from end to end.
