A pregnant woman was killed Sunday night when she was hit by a car in Stoughton, police said.
Karen Blau, 46, of Sharon, who allegedly struck the woman, is being arraigned today in Stoughton District Court on charges including motor vehicle homicide, Stoughton police said in a statement.
The victim, whose name police did not release, was hit by Blau’s car around 8:45 p.m. Sunday on Lincoln Street, police said.
Police and firefighters responded. She was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital by helicopter, where she was later pronounced dead, police said.
Stoughton police, State Police, and the Norfolk County district attorney’s office have conducted a preliminary investigation and reconstruction of the crash. The investigation is ongoing and Blau may face additional charges, police said.
