Boston Police this evening released two new photos of a man who allegedly indecently assaulted a woman in Beacon Hill earlier this month – the latest in a series of recent, similar attacks in the neighborhood.
On July 8, at about 6:15 p.m., a man assaulted a woman as she was walking on Brimmer Street toward the Charles/MGH MBTA station, according to police at the time. The man fled up Chestnut Street toward Charles Street.
Police described him as being a white male in his mid-20s. He is about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs between 160 and 170 pounds and has a slim to medium build. He has dark brown shaggy hair that is parted down the middle, no facial hair and clear skin with an olive complexion, police said.
At the time, the man was wearing a dark blue polo shirt with a red logo, medium straight-leg jeans and dark color sneakers, police said.
That attack was the fourth assault on women in Beacon Hill in less than two months. Over a 36-hour span in late May, three sexual assaults were reported within a few blocks of each other, according to police.
“While investigators continue to look into the possibility that the assaults could be connected due to similar physical description, no definitive connection has been established at this point,†said a statement from Boston Police Sunday.
Police said they are continuing to investigate each case and asked for the public’s help to identify the man in the new photos.
