Tom Brady says he still has the opportunity to win another Super Bowl with the Patriots, telling Sports Illustrated's Peter King that he's had more than a few chances already.
“We’ve had our chances. Twice. More than twice, actually. I still have plenty of chances to do it," Brady said. "What I’ve learned is it’s really, really hard to win the Super Bowl. I didn’t get that perspective early, winning three out of the first four years I played.
"What I like about this franchise is we’ve got a shot every year. I love the fact we were in the AFC title game last year, the Super Bowl the year before that, and 14-2 the year before that. Can we win this year? It’ll be determined by our level of commitment, the mental toughness. We’ll find it out before the season. How committed are we?”
Brady is at Gillette Stadium today, his first day in Foxborough since the close of minicamp in late June, a source told the Globe's Shalise Manza Young. Veterans are expected to report to training camp Thursday.

The Patriots also signed rookie defensive tackle John Drew Monday morning, according to reports.
Drew is 6-2, 330 pounds and recorded 18 tackles (five tackles for a loss) in eight games last season for North Carolina Central before suffering a season-ending toe injury. He was projected to be selected in the fourth through seventh rounds of the NFL Draft.
