Boston police are searching today for the person who shot and killed a man on Norfolk Street in Mattapan around dinnertime on Thursday.
Police said they responded to the area of 502 Norfolk St. around 6 p.m. to investigate reports of a shooting.
Arriving officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police and Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conleyâ™s office are currently working to confirm the vicitmâ™s identity and to find his killer.
The shooting is the 33rd homicide in Boston this year, compared to 37 at the same time last year, police said.
No arrests have been made.
