Revolution player Matt Reis (left) and Fox Sports analyst and US Soccer Hall of Famer Eric Wynalda checked out the Gold Cup, the trophy the Revs will compete for in a tournament that runs from July through October. The Goals for Charity program will donate money for each goal during the tournament to benefit three Boston organizations.

Children from the Joslin Diabetes Center learn the benefits of exercise and healthy eating choices for kids with diabetes, including the stretches and workouts the players do before and after the game.

Red Sox players Daniel Nava, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, and Felix Doubront, along with Red Sox Strength and Conditioning Coach Pat Santora spoke to children at the Joslin Diabetes Center. Their workshop was the first of three to be held throughout the summer months. Covidien and the foundation will host additional workshops for children from non-profit groups on Thursday, July 25, and Thursday, August 29.
